Delete your account.
The fastest path is in the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. If you can’t get into the app, send us an email and we’ll do it for you.
What gets deleted. Your profile, posts, comments, likes, direct messages, follower and following relationships, and uploaded media. Soft-deleted immediately; permanently erased after 30 days. We do not retain a shadow copy.
Email us
Send an email to support@bygoneapp.com from the same email address you used to sign up. We use the sending address to confirm the request is really from you, so an email from anywhere else won’t work.
Include in your email
- Subject: Delete my Bygone account
- Your handle (the @name on your profile), so we can match the request to your account.
- A line confirming you want to delete — anything like “Please delete my account.” is fine.
What happens next
- We process requests within five working days and reply when your account has been soft-deleted.
- You have 30 days to change your mind — reply to the confirmation and we’ll undo it.
- After 30 days, the deletion is permanent. We send a second confirmation when that happens.
